This week, we happily welcomed Prof. Eva Hornecker from the Human-Computer Interaction group at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar at the Interactive Media Lab.
On September 10th, Raimund Dachselt gave a keynote speech at the 2021 IEEE International Conference on Human-Machine Systems (ICHMS).
The invited talk on the topic „Interactive Spaces for Ubiquitous Data – A Mobile Visualization Perspective“ was closing the three-day hybrid conference, which was approaching human-centered systems for our digital world from different perspectives including HCI, cognitive ergonomics, and engineering.
The ACM ISS 2020 (ACM Interactive Surfaces and Spaces), which was supposed to take place in Lisbon, was completely virtual this year. Our group was involved with two contributions.
From October 1 to 4, the ACM MobileHCI 2019 conference took place in Taipei, Taiwan. IMLD’s Wolfgang Büschel presented our work on Smartphone-based Pan and Zoom in AR. More information about this project, the paper download as well as the presentation slides can be found at the project page.
This year’s last talk in our series Dresden Talks on Interaction and Visualization will be held by Professor Paul Rosenthal on 09/12/2016 at 13:00 in room APB E023. Professor Rosenthal is currently a visiting professor at the Institute for Computer Science at Rostock University. Previously, he was an assisting professor for Visual Computing at TU Chemnitz. The topic of the talk will be “Cognitive Processing and Human-centered Data Interfaces”. We cordially invite all those interested to this exciting talk.
The next talk in our successful series Dresden Talks on Interaction & Visualization is scheduled for 21 November. Professor Albrecht Schmidt, head of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Stuttgart, will be presenting is work under the title of “Amplifying the Mind with Digital Tools”. Professor Schmidt is one of the leading scientists in the field of HCI in Germany and we are very happy to welcome him to Dresden. The talk will take place on 21/11/2016 at 13.00 in room APB E023. Anyone interested is cordially invited.
On Wednesday, October 12th, Professor Enrico Rukzio, head of the Human-Computer-Interaction Group at Ulm University, gave an invited talk. The topic of this latest talk in the series Dresden Talks on Interaction and Visualization was “Toward Extensions of the Self: Near-body Interactions for Augmented Humans”.
We are happy that we were able to welcome a researcher of worldwide renown in the field of human computer interaction at our faculty.
On Thursday, February 25, Dr. Petra Isenberg of the AVIZ research group at INRIA Saclay, France will give an invited talk. It will take place in the council room of our faculty (APB 1004) at 10.00 am.
The topic of this exciting talk is “Novel Display Technology for Visualization and Visual Analytics”.
We are happy to welcome Dr. Isenberg to our faculty and invite all interested listeners to attend.
This year’s Dresden Talks on Interaction & Visualization will be started by Professor Bernhard Preim, head of the Visualization Group at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. Professor Preim is going to talk about User Interfaces in the Operating Room and will present new developments in surgeon-computer interaction, including touch input, freehand gestures or myoelectric gesture control. The talk will take place on Friday, January 15, at 1:00 pm in room APB E023. We are happy to welcome Professor Preim to Dresden and invite all interested people to this talk.
